Plus it felt to me like you attempted, at least, to capture the indefinable sense of awe, jealousy, admiration and self-contempt that always comes to me when I’m in the presence of a true master at his craft. You failed to capture it, of course, because such a think is like clutching smoke. But you tried, and for that, you have my admiration and self-contempt as well.
